A Peoples’ Paddle for the Salish Sea

Coming to an island near you, July 25-28, 2014!

We love the Salish Sea, which why we are paddling, swimming, and sailing through the Gulf Islands July 25-28 to raise awareness about the health of the marine ecosystem and the threat posed by tarsands and tankers.

From the people-powered flotilla, to participation in teach-ins and events on the Gulf Islands, there is something for everyone. Lend your voice and energy to the movement to protect this beautiful coast!

Reclaim PKOLS (formerly Mount Douglas)

Wednesday May 22nd @ 5pm

Meet at the base of mountain (at Shelbourne and Cedar Hill Rd) for a march to the summit; a re-enactment of the signing of the Douglas Treaty; the telling of oral histories and traditional significance of the mountain; and the installation of a sign declaring this name reclamation.
